Advanced Engineering
Continuous changes and developments in the automobile market and increased consumer expectations for quality, safety, and value require an increasingly varied and painstaking preparation. The Advanced Engineering Section combines new materials and manufacturing technologies with new concepts for design and production. Only by this combination, can meaningful innovations be realized. Karmann’s engineers and technicians are process and future oriented. They do not accept today’s standards for tomorrow’s cars. They develop new concepts that will make cars technically safer and environmentally friendlier, providing more value and a higher quality.
Kinematics
At Karmann USA, we have trained and experienced engineers ready to help design complicated mechanisms. We utilize Catia to quickly design and evaluate kinematic motions for roof systems, latches, and unique closures.
Technical Developement
Closures, Class A surfaces, Exterior Trim. We have the engineering and design resources available, to either assist or lead in the design these areas.
We can optimize the BIW for your application including Convertibles, Coupes, SUVs, Sedans. We start with the FEM analysis to direct the design and optimize the body structure for rigidity, mass and NVH.
