Visualising vehicle surface class A
|
At Karmann, all class-A surfaces are created with the CAD system ICEM Surf. We distinguish two creation processes:
In the classic variant, we construct a design model with the help of sketches and renderings. The model becomes the basis for establishing a set of scanning data, which is then used in the following for surface creation.
The virtual variant doesn't need a design model – the tasks are carried out in coordination with the designers and according to their sketches and renderings. The result is 3D-surface data, which is tested and evaluated in detail on the screen. Furthermore, such data can be used for photo-realistic visualisation.
