The electrical equipment design offers various services to ensure electrical functionalities, safety and comfort in the car. In recent years, the importance of the electrical equipment and of the electronics in the car has increased. Consequently, we at Karmann also increased our activities in this field.
Our engineers working on "roof systems" also develop the control devices, which guarantee that our electrical-electronic tops work smoothly. These devices are connected to the control devices for position and turn-over recognition, which, in case of an accident, induce all the measures for turn-over protection.
"Vehicle integration" includes the classic tasks: window regulators, central locking mechanisms, lighting equipment and speaker systems, all these concepts are developed and realized here. This is also where the electronic indicators, such as those in the cockpit, are controlled.
